Unfortunately, the Company is unable to offer an unconditional guarantee against any product it sells. Nor is any warranty given or implied to properties or performance, unless directly stated. |
| DISCOUNT VOUCHERS |
| The intended end-use of a Discount Voucher is to purchase footwear. Discount Vouchers used to purchase cleaning and shoe care products alone may be refused at the point of Order Processing. |
| METHOD OF PAYMENT |
| Strictly payment with order. Payments by CREDIT CARD. The Company accepts orders by phone or online using either our own cart, Paypal or Google Checkout.
Credit cards or Switch orders (our cart): Your Card Account Number will only be charged with the sum due for those goods which are despatched on that day. Telephone orders may not be processed on the day of the order being placed. Your credit card statement will show transaction as "BAWTRY SHOE COMPANY". Paypal orders will show transaction as "HOBSON & BATES SHOES LIMITED". Google Checkout orders will show the abbreviation, which is "HOBSON & BATES LIMITED". |
| VAT |
| The Company reserve the right to amend VAT if necessary. This is included in all prices shown on this site at the current rate. All product is assumed to be for private and personal use - we are unable to enter into any wholesale or re-sell contract. Any order that we suspect may have been placed with a view to re-sell will be cancelled and treated as void. |
| PRICES |
| The Company reserves the right to alter prices as and when necessary, subject to increases by suppliers and manufacturers. |
| EXPORT ORDERS |
| We can only ship outside of the United Kingdom if relavent shipping costs have being met at the point of purchase (please purchase EU Shipping at point of display). Currently we are unable to ship outside of the EU. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship to Cyprus. |
| CARRIAGE |
| All orders will be delivered free of charge within the UK, relevant changes to all other Export Markets are covered at point of purchase (please select relevant shipping tariff and purchase at point of display). |
| DISPATCH OF GOODS |
| Please allow up to 7-10 days for delivery. The Company will endeavour, wherever possible, to despatch goods on receipt of order although contact will be made immediately should a delay be expected. |
| DAMAGED GOODS |
| In the event of goods being damaged in transit, the customer MUST NOTIFY The Company within 48 hours of receipt of goods otherwise no liability can be accepted by The Company. Damaged goods should be returned unused to arrive at Bawtry Shoe Company, 10 High Street, Bawtry, Doncaster, DN10 6JE within 10 days of receipt of goods by the customer. Where goods are damaged in transit, The Company will replace immediately on receipt of damaged goods being returned. Postage and Packaging costs will be refunded if valid postage receipt sent along with damaged item. |
| UNSUITABLE GOODS |
| We offer 14 days unconditional approval on any item purchased from our web site. You can claim a full refund (less return postage and packaging) on any unsoiled items returned to us within 14 days or alternatively, if you wish, you may exchange any item. Refunds and Exchanges may only be processed when the returned items have been received by ourselves. Please allow 7 working days for refund processing. Items must not be returned Freepost as this is purely a letter service. We do recommend that you obtain a certificate of posting from the Post Office and consider insuring your parcel in order that you can claim for any loss or damage, as we are unable to compensate for parcels that are damaged or mislaid in transit. On receipt of a returned item which was originally paid for by credit card, where the exchange item differs in price from the original purchase, the card used will be debited/credited on despatch. If we send the wrong size from the one which you ordered we will refund all your reasonable postage incurred for the return. |
| COMPLAINTS |
| Goods becoming faulty after usage should be returned to The Company immediately. The Company will either replace or where suitable repair as necessary if applicable. The Company has a reputation for dealing in the very best branded goods and has the security of the manufacturer behind it for your behalf. Claims regarding faulty goods will be assessed by The Company and The Company will adjudge the claim taking into account the age, amount of usage, correct care and maintenance by the customer etc. All claims will be subject to 'Fair Wear and Tear' with regards to the purpose which the goods are offered. The Company's decision is final. Action by The Company regarding claims against faulty goods should the claim be adjudged by The Company to be made justified in respect of defective workmanship and materials the Company will offer to replace or refund the payment made. The Company is liable for nothing more than the contract price of the goods which are the subject of the complaint. The Company takes all usual and reasonable precautions to ensure the excellence of workmanship and materials. The customer is reminded, however, that one some occasionas a third-party may be responsible for the despatch and inspection of your goods. |
| GUARANTEE |
| The Company guarantees all goods supplied against faulty workmanship and defective materials. If the goods are unsuitable or faulty on receipt The Company guarantees to issue a full refund or exchange immediately on return of the goods, providing the rules are adhered to as set out above in 'Damaged or Unsuitable Goods'.
